Leri Matehha is an Estonian-German artist, theoretician and filmmaker.
Leri is a filmmaker and an artistic researcher whose practice moves between cinema, science and art. A graduate of the Academy of Media Arts Cologne, she has developed her debut feature W with support from the Wim Wenders Foundation and recently completed her first documentary, Territory of Darkness. Her research has been supported by the DAAD in comparative literature and cultural studies, and her projects range from conditional to unconditional forms of art. Her work has been exhibited internationally from Germany, Ukraine, Korea, Palestine, and Estonia, and screened at festivals such as IFF Rotterdam, Images Festival Toronto, Beijing, Hamburg, and Clermont-Ferrand.
